All coaching staff is hired based on their sport specific skills. Here are their respective credentials as well as descriptions of their courses.
Tennis, Power Kids, and Fitness coach-Tim Schlosser
Course Content
Tennis camp will be structured in a very skill intensive way. Strong emphasis will be put on the fundamentals of ground strokes, volleys, and serves. The foundation built through drilling these fundamental strokes will culminate in actual match play on the last day of the week. Intermittent skills based games will also be played in order for the campers to see how their new skills are applied.
Coach Credentials
Tim has been playing tennis since he was 8 years old. Throughout middle school he attended off campus physical education at Kluge Tennis Ranch (an independent tennis training facility) where he practiced 3 hours after school per week day. While involved in the United States Tennis Association (U.S.T.A) Tim attained champion status through competing in the ZAT tournaments the U.S.T.A provided. While in high school he played varsity tennis all four years for Cypress Creek High School in Houston, Texas. He eventually became team captain of the varsity squad. While working at Camp Longhorn Tim was the Tennis Activity Coordinator which entailed orchestrating tennis drills, planning camp wide tournaments, and managing his assistant coordinators.
Course Content
Power Kids camps will emphasize healthy and active lifestyles. Adequate stretching before working out will be done everyday. Proper callisthenic exercises will be taught to campers to promote the use of one’s own body weight to keep a healthy muscle tone (jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, etc.). Various fitness focused games will also be played to show just how fun staying fit can be.

Tim has had a passion for a healthy and happy lifestyle since he began playing tennis when he was 8 years old. Training for the tennis tournaments meant eating right, keeping a healthy muscle tone and staying limber through daily stretching. Also, more formally Tim was the Windwood Presbyterian Church Summer Programs Physical Activity Coordinator. Teaching children from 3-12 a basic foundation of health and fitness through appropriate exercises depending on the age group. He also managed his assistant counselors to effectively facilitate the exercises to every child.
Course Content
Fitness camp will be focused on callisthenic exercises that stress the use of one’s own body weight to keep a healthy muscle tone as well as introductory light weight training. Proper stretching will be enforced before and after any and all weight training exercises to encourage healthy muscle growth. Appropriate fitness based games will also be interchanged around the training.

While working as the Windwood Presbyterian Church Summer Programs Physical Activity Coordinator Tim taught the fundamentals of weight training to campers 7 years of age and older. As the Tennis Activity Coordinator at Camp Longhorn he took time out of the day to take campers to the weight room and teach appropriate and safe weight training. Informally Tim has religiously been working out since his freshman yearof high school to keep his competitive edge in Tennis.
Gymnastics coach-Clemente Crispin
Course Content
The gymnastics program will involve many safe and fun physical activities. Dynamic stretching will teach the children the importance of flexibility when practicing gymnastics as well as in their daily lives. After they learn the basics the opportunities are limitless. The foundation learned from these exercises will aid the campers throughout their lives rather they pursue gymnastics or not.
Coach Credentials
Clemente has practiced gymnastics for the last nine years; his formal training was done at Bryan high school where he took lessons three days out of the week consistently. Last summer Clemente was the assistant coach for the Aerofit Summerfit Program where he gained valuable experience in the actual teaching of the sport .His main affiliation with gymnastics at present is through Rudder Gymnastics where he plans to continue his training.
Dance coach-Lauren Richards
Course Content
The Dance/Group Exercise camp will be structured in a way as to teach dance technique, incorporate fitness in a fun way, and develop creative skills. Children will learn different dances and possibly have a performance or free dance day on the last day of each camp. No dance background is required, all levels are welcome!
Coach Credentials
Lauren Richards has always had a great passion for dancing. She started dancing when she was 3 and has yet to stop loving it. Lauren attended Westlake High School in Austin, Texas and was on the drill/dance team, Hyline, for 3 years. Her junior year she served as 2nd Lieutenant, and her senior year she served the team as 1st Lieutenant. She also was on the Honor Kick Line and the Elite Jazz Company. Currently, Lauren Richards is a senior at Texas A&M University graduating in May of 2011. She is a Kinesiology major and a Dance minor. In her time at A&M Lauren was involved in a student organization called The Dance Arts Society for 4 years. She also was on the Aggie Dance Team for 3 years. Lauren served as Co-Captain her junior year and Head Captain her senior year for the Aggie Dance Team. After graduation Lauren is looking to get certified to teach dance at the high school level.
Martial Arts coach-Casey Smith
Course Content
During the Martial arts course I will be instructing this summer I will teach the kids introductory self defense techniques. They will learn the basic stances, blocks, and kicks as well as respect, and focus.
Coach Credentials
Casey started karate at the age of 7 learning Soo Bahk Do. At age 11 he left the studio and eventually attended a new studio where he practiced Tang Soo Do, both are similar forms of Korean martial arts. After 5 more years of training Casey attained the rank of black belt as well as a certificate verifying his mastery level of Tang Soo Do. After receiving his black belt Casey spent most of the next 2 years running the classes and instructing the students. His greatest milestone would have to be achieving my black belt after years spent training and preparing for the tests.
Swim Coach-Matt Brickey
Course Content
The Aerofit summer swim camp program is engineered for stroke development and aerobic condition. The participants will be learning all four competitive strokes. The class portion of swim camp is up to an hour and a half where as the rest of the time is free swim. The instructional part of the class is at the beginning and swim camp concludes with the free swim. Each day one stroke is taught and developed and Fridays are race day where the skills learned during the week are put to the test. The instructors work hard to develop stroke and teach the fundamentals of a great sport.
Coach Credentials
The head coach is Matt Brickey, Aerofit Aquatics Director. He is a certified USA swim coach and has 5 years of experience coaching at all levels from learn to swim to adult swim team. He has coached for Aerofit for two years and is also the head coach of the Bryan Barracuda swim team. He is certified in lifeguard, WSI (Water Safety Instructor), CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration, and Red Cross First Aid.
Racquetball coach-Joseph Doucet
Course Content
The racquetball camp focuses on training the kids on proper swinging techniques, rules of the game and proper etiquette. We hope to develop the kid's skills in playing racquetball so that they can play a prize based tournament at the end of the camp.
Coach Credentials
Joseph has been playing racquetball for 7 years. He is sponsored by E-force which is a well renowned racquetball racquet and equipment company. Joseph is also the racquetball coordinator for Aerofit. For the past few summers Joseph has headed up the Racquetball program for the Summerfit Camp as well.
Soccer coach-James Shipman
Course Content
Soccer camp will consist on learning the basic rules of soccer, understanding
different soccer drills, working together as a team, having soccer exercises,
and playing soccer games during the week. We will work together to make sure
everyone is included in all activities and that everyone has fun!
Coach Credentials
James has been with Aerofit since 2006; he’s now a personal trainer for the club. In high school he was the team captain of his soccer team in Oklahoma City. After high school Joseph received a soccer scholarship to play college soccer at Central Methodist in Fayette, MO as a goalie and defender. He is still playing soccer with the Bryan/College Station Soccer Club at Veteran's Park. Joseph has been assisting with soccer camps at Aerofit since 2008.
Volleyball coach-Fari Estakhari
Course Content
Volleyball camp will consist of practice drills, eye hand coordination exercises, and practice match play. Strong emphasis will be put on serves, sets, bumps, and spikes to ensure proper form and skills are ingrained with campers for further volleyball endeavors.
Coach Credentials
Fari has 25 years overall volleyball experience. Some of this experience stems from his international tournament play where he was quite accomplished winning and at least placing in the majority of tournaments. Fari also coached the Texas A&M University volleyball club team for 2 years.
